Ultra launched in 2025 with a simple premise: to cover the heart of a story. Founded by veteran viral media writer Mustafa Gatollari and media entrepreneur Jane Sung, Ultra combines the fundamentals of journalism to the absurdity of the modern news cycle.
Viral posts, trending news, conspiracy theories, comedic takes, and thoroughly cited opinion pieces compose the bulwark of Ultra’s coverage. Nothing is off the table, as long as there is evidence for it.
Mustafa Gatollari has been at the forefront of the viral media game since 2015, amassing thousands of syndicated and licensed articles, which can be viewed on his Muck Rack profile here. A longtime writer for Distractify, his work has been featured in The Daily Dot, The Independent, Motor1, InsideEVs, BroBible, The Mary Sue, The Big Lead, and other publications.
In addition to being a lifelong journalist, Mustafa’s also the co-creator of Haunted Discoveries, and helped found A&G Creative, with Brandon Alvis, whom he met while filming for A&E’s Ghost Hunters as lead investigators for the series. He is excited for the upcoming release of Ghosts of the Gold Rush, through Black Hollow Pictures.
